I used to say yes to almost everything because I thought I should. I had wrapped my identity in people pleasing and being an over-achieving workaholic. It turns out that’s not so great for one’s mental and physical health – it’s a recipe for stress and overwhelm.
I’ve since learned how to say no to the things that don’t bring me joy or propel me towards my goals, so this week’s show focuses on what brought me to this point in my life. I also share the practical steps that helped me start saying no and scaling back my commitments.
