newsharlawebLMBT #14952. Sharla graduated from the NC Massage School in Cornelius and is Certified in Neuromuscular Therapy & Structural Bodywork. She trained extensively in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, and Prenatal Massage. Sharla is passionate about decreasing chronic pain, promoting relaxation, and achieving optimal health for others.

Sharla has a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Art Studio from Appalachian State University, and worked in the art industry for many years before growing her family. She has three children; active twin boys and a vibrant young daughter. It was during her pregnancies that she began to understand just how amazing the human body is and how massage can help to promote wellness and healing during all stages of life. She now enjoys working with pregnant mothers during their first or even ninth pregnancies. She is certified from the Claire Marie Miller "Nurturing the Mother" curriculum. Working with mothers from the first trimester up until delivery and then postpartum allows women comfort and support throughout their pregnancies and thereafter.

  • Sharla enjoys staying active through functional fitness and many outdoor activities. Her love for health encouraged her to specialize in sports therapy and Chinese cupping. She has been able to help many athletes and clients with physical lifestyles maintain flexibility, repair from competitions, and treat specific neuromuscular injuries.

Of course, she also loves to help others simply enjoy relaxation. Taking time to remove stress from your life is critical to wellness.

When asked why she loves massage, Sharla replied with a quote:  "The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away." ~Pablo Picasso
